For decisions of numerous problems in the field of pulsed photometer it is necessary to have a noiseless high sensitivity streak tube that can provide a  short (<1 ns) frame duration. Strobing streak tubes of  PMU-401.10 and PMU-402.10 types supplied by one or two microchannel plates (MCP) respectively and produced by as called portable (manipulated) photocathode technology provided limiting low noise-level  are fit with such requirements. A phosphor screen is applied on a fiber-optic disk. Strobing of an image is realized with a shutter grid electrode located closed to a photocathode. A shutter represents a through-pass section of  communication lines supplied by coaxial connectors with wave resistance of 50 Ohm. Because of these features streak tubes of PMU-401.10 and PMU-402.10 types have three main advantages as compared with other known types of streak tubes. They are limiting low noise-level, small amplitude of shutter impulse and wide bandwidth of shutter system. These streak tubes can be used in pulsed spectroscopy devices and systems of lidar type in particular.
