PM-401X and PM-402X
This exposed streak tube with MCP is intended for image registration of short-wave radiations from ultraviolet to hard X-ray spectral ranges as well as various corpuscular flows -electron, ion, etc- in static and pulsed modes both. In the latter case the streak tube can be used as a single-frame register of fast running processes in nano- ,micro- and millisecond temporal ranges. MCP of the tube is a detector of short-wave radiations and corpuscular flows that transforms them into primary electrons and in the same time MCP is an amplifier of the primary electrons. In order to increase UV and soft X-ray transformation efficiency MCP input surface can be covered by CsI layer. A phosphor screen of the tube is applied on a fiber-optic disk. The streak tube is supplied with a vacuum flange.
Several modifications of this streak tube are possible:
- PM-402 with two MCP has a maximum electron gain ≥ 105 and a spatial resolution ≥ 15 l.p./mm ;
- PM-401 R is an enclosed (sealed off) streak tube with an uviol input window and one MCP is intended for registration of UV and hard X-ray radiations.
- PM-402 R is an enclosed (sealed off) streak tube with an uviol input window and two MCP is intended for registration of UV and hard X-ray radiations.
Similar types of exposed streak tubes with 25mm diameter of MCP-cathode are also possible.
